Choose a design with a personal connection
A favourite animal, dinosaur or interest can be a useful starting point. Our Katie Hipwell Design range includes a Brontosaurus watercolour print for dinosaur fans, a Koala print for animal lovers and Planets & Outer Space artwork for a room with a space theme.
For a gift, consider the colours the family already uses in the room. A design with one or two colours in common with their bedding or furniture can be easier to place.
Check what can be personalised
Read the personalisation section on the chosen product. Some designs offer a name, date of birth or both; others also allow a message. For example, personalised wording on the Dolphins print appears beneath the illustration in place of the word “Dolphins”.
- Copy the wording exactly as you want it printed.
- Check spelling, accents, capital letters, spaces and punctuation.
- Check the date carefully if you are including one.
- For a longer message or another change, contact us before ordering.

Choose the size for the room
Katie Hipwell Design prints are available in A5, A4 and A3. A5 can sit on a small shelf or within a group; A4 works well for many everyday spaces; A3 gives the illustration more presence on a wall. Measure the space and allow for the frame's outside dimensions.

Check the framed options on your chosen design
An unframed print gives the recipient freedom to choose their own frame. Where framed options are offered, choose the framed size and then a frame colour if the listing asks for one. Frame colours and sizes vary: the Planets & Outer Space and Yellow Digger designs offer framed A4 and A3, while other listings also offer framed A5.
Katie Hipwell framed prints are supplied without a mount. For unframed prints, a frame-colour selection does not add a frame.
